Artistic Focus Born in Japan, the multi-talented Edward Takeo Terada moved to California in 1922 to study at the University of California, Berkeley, and then the California School of Fine Arts, before returning to Japan in the 1930s. He enjoyed a lifelong career that incorporated painting, teaching and writing.
• While attending the California School of Fine
Arts, he studied under Otis Oldfield and graduated in 1932.
